About Me
S2S4 Trip Leader
Kelly is based in Washington, DC, where she works for the FDIC with a background in international development and crisis planning. While she might not be a scientist by training, she loves that she gets to play one at whale shark camp! Kelly has led workshops, trainings, and even kids’ dance classes, so keeping groups engaged and energized is something she truly enjoys. While serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Peru Kelly had the opportunity to gain both Spanish skills and an ironclad belief that a little humor goes a long way, when those Spanish skills run out. Outside of work, Kelly loves cooking (homemade pasta in particular), traveling, and finding excuses for costume parties. Kelly participated in Stars to Sea for the first time 2023 and has been back each summer since. She is joining the team as a trip leader for the first time this summer and can't wait!
Education: BA in Public Relations, University of Georgia; MA in International Development, American University
