S2S4 Trip Leader
Jess is part of the animal care team at the Oakland Zoo, where she works primarily with goats and sheep. She holds a B.S. in Animal Science from UC Davis and spent several years working in veterinary medicine before switching into zoological work. Jess first fell in love with Baja in 2023 and has returned every summer since as part of the Stars to Sea program. Outside of work, Jess loves spending time outdoors with her wife, Katie, and their two dogs, Remi and Ranger. She swims with her local Masters team and enjoys rock climbing, camping, hiking, and crafting.
