S2S2 Trip Leader

James has always been drawn to water and feels the most at peace when he’s in and around the ocean.

His first visit to the Vermillion Sea Institute was during the Stars to Sea 2 program in the summer of 2025. This experience only amplified his fascination with marine life. James is eager to share this incredible place with others!

When he’s not scuba diving with his daughter, Abby, or looking for an excuse to visit the ocean, James works as a website manager for the Ohio State University. He also loves to travel with his family and learn about other cultures.

James is currently leveling up his underwater photography and video skills and hopes to put them to use during his next visit to Bahía de los Ángeles.
